Economy Group

The Southwater 2012 Benchmarking report aimed at measuring and comparing the performance of Southwater village centre retail activity is now available.  This report is based on research and data collected by the Southwater Action Team together with national data provided by Action for Market Towns.  Southwater is a relatively small community when compared to the national sample.  There are still valuable points to be gleaned from the analysis, and better understanding the issues that impact on the performance of our local economy..  For a copy contact admin@southwatercp.org.uk

In the context of the Southwater Action Team by economy we mean the local businesses, traders, retailers and what people do to sustain enterprise in the Parish.  The mission of this focus group is to deliver the items in the Action Plan.  These are contained in the Plan Results published in May 2009.

If you missed the launch meeting of Southwater’s NEW Business Networking Group, run by Village Networking in conjunction with the Southwater Action Team (SWAT) don't worry!  It was a great success, "we never knew there were so many small businesses out there in Southwater"  they said.   www.villagenetworking.biz

The group meets 1st and 3rd Wednesdays each month in the Lintot Pub upstairs.

Business networking event Southwater Business Live was on Thursday 27th September 2012 from 3.30-7.30pm upstairs at the Lintot, Lintot Square, Southwater.  Check out http://www.southwaterbusinesslive.co.uk/
