Our Aims:

We want to build and support strong, active and inclusive communities across the Parish to encourage people to take an active part in making decisions, delivering and influencing services across the Parish.

What is a Parish Council?

Southwater Parish Council is the first tier of local government for the Parish of Southwater which includes Christ's Hospital, Newfoundout, Stammerham, Tower Hill, Two Mile Ash, other communities within the parish boundary and the village itself.

What Do We Do?

We have statutory duties and powers to provide services for the Parish of Southwater.  Within these powers, we provide community buildings, dog and litter bins, community facilities, and we own and maintain many areas of public open space within the village on behalf of the community.  Please see  Powers & Duties
