Our Aims:

We want to build and support strong, active and inclusive communities across the Parish to encourage people to take an active part in making decisions, delivering and influencing services across the Parish.

The Community We Serve

The Parish Council is elected every four years to represent the Parish of Southwater.  The Parish comprises the communities of Christ's Hospital, Tower Hill & Salisbury Road, Two Mile Ash, Newfoundout and the village itself covering a total of 1400.1 Hectares.

 

Population

In the 2011 census the total population usually resident within the Parish was 10,730 with 30% of those being under the age of 18 years of age.

The total electorate as at 2011 stood at 7,511.

Council Tax for 2014/15

  • The Parish budget for 2014/15 is £298,988

  • The precept grant is £11,031

  • The net precept is £287,957

  • Increase over 2013/14 is 1.95%
