Community Fridge
The Horsham Community Fridge is a local initiative aimed at reducing food waste and fostering community spirit by redistributing surplus food to residents.
Operated by Fare Divide, the fridge collects excess food from local businesses, allotments, and households, making it available to anyone in the community.
In 2024 they collected and redistributed almost 42 tonnes of food to their customers- not only did this help some customers make meals that they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to - it also saved approximately 27 tonnes of carbon dioxide entering the atmosphere by stopping the food going to landfill.
