Neighbourhood Warden and Community Drop In - 26th October 2022
On Wednesday 26 October 2022 the Neighbourhood Wardens teamed up with representatives from Southwater Parish Council, Age UK, Neighbourhood Watch Association, West Sussex Fire & Rescue and Southwater Neighbour Network to deliver an opportunity for Southwater residents to come and discuss any concerns they have or to obtain information they needed about a wide range of issues. Even though it was very windy, many local residents braved the conditions to come and talk to the Neighbourhood Wardens. As a direct result, WSFRs have been invited to a number of homes to undertake Safe & Well checks including potentially the installation of smoke detectors and providing guidance on reducing risks in the home. Lots of advice was provided on the day and will be followed up with the most appropriate agencies to ensure that concerns are addressed and the necessary support for the most vulnerable can be put in place. The Neighbourhood Wardens and SPC would like to thank everyone for coming and making it a really community focused event.
