News Release - Emerging Proposals from Berkeley Homes

Berkeley Homes have recently advised Horsham District Council and Southwater Parish Council of their proposals to build 1500 homes on land in the north west of Southwater. They will be holding a public exhibition as part of their consultation process, which they will announce soon.

Your Parish Council have had limited time to consider this proposal having only had one Pre-Application Panel meeting with Berkeley where the Councillors present expressed the view that the proposal was over and above the scope of development set out in the Southwater Neighbourhood Plan, that the people of Southwater accepted in 2021.

Southwater Parish Council have not yet formed a view on the proposal. The consultation will allow the people of Southwater to provide their opinion on Berkeley's proposal.
