Participate in creating a corridor for nature

Weald to Waves is an ambitious, community-driven project aimed at creating a 100-mile wildlife corridor across Sussex, connecting the Weald to the coast. This initiative seeks to restore and link diverse habitats, enabling species to thrive and migrate freely. By involving local communities, landowners, and conservation groups, the project fosters a collaborative approach to nature recovery.

Participants can contribute by pledging their gardens, greenspaces, or larger landholdings to support biodiversity. The project provides resources, expert advice, and a network of like-minded individuals to guide and inspire participants. Through collective action, Weald to Waves aims to reverse biodiversity decline and promote sustainable coexistence between people and nature.

Residents of Southwater have a unique opportunity to be part of this transformative movement. By pledging your garden or local greenspace, you contribute to a larger network of habitats that support wildlife and enhance ecological connectivity. Engaging in this project not only benefits the environment but also enriches your community by fostering a deeper connection with nature. Together, we can create a thriving corridor that ensures a sustainable future for both wildlife and people in Sussex.
