The Queen's Green Canopy (QGC)

The Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) is a tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 which invites everyone across the UK to plant trees. Following the death of Her Majesty The Queen, and the wishes of His Majesty The King, the initiative will be extended to the end of March 2023 to give people the opportunity to plant trees in memoriam to honour The Queen. In this respect, Southwater Parish Council are taking part in this initiative in partnership with Horsham District Council and will be carrying out the tree planting ceremony on Monday 14th November at 3:00pm.
